Just a quick post for anyone considering working with us in the near future. Typically we require our clients to train in a fully equipped gym, as just about every successful competitor does. But given the circumstances with COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we are of course being flexible on this until things stabilize.
For those who don’t want to go to the gym at all: We’re modifying our plans to allow use of minimal equipment such as an adjustable dumbbell and barbell set, a bench, and bands. A squat rack is a huge plus, but not 100% necessary assuming this thing doesn’t go on forever…split squats/variations can work fine in place of squats for a while. We are of course still customizing programming for each client.
For those who are willing to take the risk and go to the gym at least on a limited basis: We’re recommending that we modify to full body 3x/week in order to minimize gym usage. We’re also recommending that you train during off-peak hours (usually early am, mid-afternoon, or late night), and that you spray/wipe down equipment before and after use. Good chance it won’t be busy even during peak hours, but probably still busier than off-peak. This assumes your gym is even open :).
Keep in mind that these are just my CURRENT recommendations/adjustments based on where we are with all of this RIGHT NOW (March 13, 2020). Things could be completely different in a week (as they are vastly different right now as compared to a week ago). Feel free to fill out the contact form if you have any questions/want more up-to-date info on how we’d handle things if you were to work with us.
